Lucy Yim is a dance artist based out of Portland, OR. Her work has been shown at several New York City and Portland venues such as the Time Based Arts Festival (Portland), The Chocolate Factory (NYC), and the Portland Art Museum. Lucy has danced for choreographers Milka Djordjevich, Sally Silvers, Linda Austin, Tahni Holt and Cydney Wilkes. She has curated the Alembic Series, performance happening RECITAL and currently teaches improvisation at Conduit. Her recent collaborations are with sound artist Jesse Mejia and video artist Shawn Patrick Higgins. She can be seen performing at Northwest New Works’ On the Boards and at Big Range Austin this June of 2012. She holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College and studied at the Laban/Bartenieff Institute of Movement Studies. Lucy is a teacher of the GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®.
